Hey everybody!
What a week! I have so much I could write about that I could probably go on for hours on end. (:
We had the chance to pick up new missionaries from the airport on Wednesday. This new group is so cool. Elder Kaufusi is in this group, the brother of the BYU football player, who is playing football at BYU himself. He and I have an exchange coming up, that'll be really cool. We have got some awesome missionaries. Thursday was transfer day, people coming and going of course. We had quite a fun time with that. I got Elder Carr, who is a stud from Washington. He's great. We're having a blast together. Thursday night, I had to say goodbye to Elder Croft. I'll be honest. It was harder to say goodbye to him than it was to leave home for the first time. I didn't want to let that kid go. I love him man...
But all is well in Zion. Elder Carr and I have had a great few first days together. We found a guy on the street named A who committed to baptism on our first day together. That was really cool. We're doing great together. Among all these events, we taught 18 lessons this week and found 14 new people. The work is just for some reason really thriving here right now.
In the big news.... S got baptized!!! (: We were so excited for her. We gave her a blessing this week that she would be healed so that she could get baptized. By Sunday, she was miraculously off the crutches and ready to get in the water. She was so excited and nervous and all the above, but she did it. I'll prepare the whole story of her for next week's email. It's so cool to be able to find somebody and teach them the gospel and have them make covenants. It's a miracle that it ever happens. I'm excited for her.
